What type of yard fertilizer do we put down in May? We have both St. Augustine and Bermuda.

If you plan to apply a conventional, synthetic fertilizer I suggest following the recommended nutrient ratio of 3:1:2 or 4:1:2 since Nitrogen is the nutrient that most Texas soils need over the others. So this means looking for an analysis such as 15-5-10 or 21-5-10, and make sure that you use something with at least 50% slow-release Nitrogen. Our Premium Lawn Fertilizer falls into this category. If you prefer organic fertilizers, our Organic Fertilizer is recommended, and it works well on everything else from trees and shrubs to containers and hanging baskets.

Thanks for your inquiry.
