We are in April in Northern California and our red oak still has the majority of its brown leaves still on tree. When can we expect them off so tree can rebloom? Tree is 6 years old

We are in Texas, and the Red Oaks in our State can have brown leaves on them until the new leaves appear. This is natural for some species of Red Oaks. Please consult a nursery professional in your area for any idiosyncrasies that might be common in your region.
