Cool color for hot spots
Use cool colors to ‘virtually’ lower the thermostat!
A few short months ago—just when the Summer sun began to shine in earnest—we encouraged you to turn your color wheel to “cool” and plant appropriately. (Click here if you missed our “Create some cool for yourself” blog entry.)
As we enter the dog days of Summer, this advice is even more timely. So much so that we’ll be hosting a “Cool Summer Color” garden clinic on Saturday, Aug. 11 at 10:15 a.m. (Come on out! We’ll have bottles of cold drinking water waiting for you!)
In the meantime, let’s review some of the basics of creating with cool colors. Using blues, pinks, whites, purples and greens in the garden can “visually” cool your surroundings, making your outdoor room much more pleasant.
