In September 1998, Dr. Michael Dirr of the University of Georgia was visiting Bailey Nurseries in St. Paul, Minn. While walking through the test facility Dr. Dirr saw a unique Hydrangea he would later learn could flower on both old and new growth. This outstanding plant would eventually be developed and patented as the Endless Summer Hydrangea.

The story doesn’t end there, though. Since that time, additional varieties of Endless Summer Hydrangeas have been developed. Now gardeners can choose from several different colors and styles. Proof that a good thing can get even better!
