Jim Estill

Jim Estill, Company Founder and President

Mr. Estill is Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Calloway’s Nursery, Inc.

Before founding Calloway’s, Mr. Estill served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sunbelt Nursery Group, Inc. Prior to that Mr. Estill served as Director of Real Estate for Pier 1 Imports, Inc., where he started his career in retail store management. He received his BBA in Management from Texas Christian University in 1969 and his MBA in Finance from TCU in 1977.

Mr. Estill is a Texas Master Certified Nursery Professional (TMCNP) and serves as Chairman of the Certification Committee for the Texas Nursery & Landscape Association (TNLA).

In 2012, the TNLA bestowed on Mr. Estill the Arp Award, which is the highest honor granted to an individual by the association. This award signifies that as a member he has exemplified the TNLA’s ideals including innovation, service and highly ethical behavior in both his business and his personal life. He is also a member of the International Board of Visitors of the M. J. Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University, a member of the Board of Governors of the Fort Worth Club, and member of the Board of Directors of the Lena Pope Home.

John Cosby

John Cosby, Company Founder and VP Real Estate

Mr. Cosby is Vice President and Director of Calloway’s Nursery, Inc.

Mr. Cosby has developed all of the Calloway’s Nursery retail locations, including site selection, site development and lease and acquisition negotiations. Prior to 1986, Mr. Cosby served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Sunbelt Nursery Group. He was also responsible for real estate activities at Pearle Vision Center and Pier One Imports.

Mr. Cosby earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Wesleyan College in 1969 and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Dallas in 1983. He is a certified mediator who serves on the Board of Directors of Dispute Resolution Services of North Texas, and is past Chairman of Optical Federal Credit Union.

John Peters

John Peters, Company Founder, VP Operations

Mr. Peters is Vice President and Director of Calloway’s Nursery, Inc.

As Vice President of Operations, Mr. Peters developed the original staff into a team of industry professionals. He has the primary responsibility for distribution, human resources and

Prior to 1986, Mr. Peters worked with Sunbelt Nursery Group as Senior Vice President of Operations, where he was responsible for operation of all subsidiaries, including more than 100 stores in five states, and two growing operations. He also served as president of Wolfe Nursery.

Mr. Peters attended both Tarrant County Junior College and Texas Christian University. Peters is active in the Texas Nursery & Landscape Association (TNLA) where he has served as Past Chairman and currently serves on its Education and Research Foundation. He is certified at the highest TNLA level – Texas Master Certified Nursery Professional (TMCNP).

Marce Ward

Marce Ward, VP, Merchandising

Mr. Ward is Vice President of Merchandising at Calloway’s Nursery, Inc., where he oversees the comprehensive purchase process of the merchandise presentation at all retail locations.

Mr. Ward holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas Christian University. He is a Texas Master Certified Nursery Professional (TMCNP) and serves on the Education Committee of the Texas Nursery & Landscape Association. He has completed courses including Total Quality Management, Total Quality Leadership, Lean, Just In Time (JIT), Inventory Management and Advanced Study of Herbaceous Perennials.

Dan Reynolds

Dan Reynolds, VP and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Reynolds is Vice President, Secretary of the Board and Chief Financial Officer for Calloway’s Nursery, Inc., where he is responsible for the company’s accounting, finance, administration, and information technology.

In 2013, Mr. Reynolds earned the coveted Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he had previously obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with honors. He is currently progressing toward his Master of Business Administration degree.

Prior to joining Calloway’s Nursery in 1990, Mr. Reynolds was with the global accounting firm KPMG LLP, which he had joined upon becoming a Certified Public Accountant in 1985.

In addition to his work‐related responsibilities, he is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and Financial Executives International (FEI). Mr. Reynolds was president of the FEI Fort Worth Chapter from 1999‐2000, and served on its board of directors from 1997‐2003.

Sam Weger

Sam Weger, VP, Recruiting and Training

Mr. Weger is Vice President of Recruiting and Training for Calloway’s Nursery, Inc.

In his current role, Mr. Weger oversees the recruitment and continuing education efforts of the company’s employees. He also serves as the university liaison for the company by managing the extensive 10-week summer internship program. Prior to 1987, Mr. Weger was co-owner of Lessman-Weger Garden Center in Colby, Kansas and landscape designer with Odessa Nursery. Mr. Weger earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Education from Fort Hays State University.

Mr. Weger has served on the Texas Nursery & Landscape Association (TNLA) Board of Directors since 2001 and has been Chairman of Region V on several occasions. He has also participated on numerous committees and is past Chair of the TNLA. Mr. Weger is certified at the highest TNLA level – Texas Master Certified Nursery Professional (TMCNP).

Alicia Hicks

Alicia Hicks, VP Marketing

Ms. Hicks is Vice President of Marketing for Calloway’s Nursery, Inc., where she develops strategic marketing plans and customer experience initiatives for all retail locations.

Ms. Hicks has over twenty years of marketing and advertising experience including management positions at ABC/Walt Disney and CBS. Prior to joining Calloway’s Nursery she owned and operated a Sales and Marketing Development practice specializing in revenue development. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas Christian University.
