CALLOWAY'S NURSERY RELEASES ITS FIRST ALL-PURPOSE ORGANIC FERTILIZER FORT WORTH, Texas - March 2, 2001 - Calloway's Nursery is now offering New Generation, its first completely organic fertilizer, announced John Peters, president of Calloway's Nursery of Texas, Inc. The multi-purpose fertilizer may be used to feed lawns, trees, shrubs, flower beds and vegetable gardens. Formulated with seven organic meals, cane molasses and basic minerals needed for superior growth, the fertilizer adds a new option to Calloway's extensive line of soil amendments. "At Calloway's, we have always supplied our customers with products that are responsible and effective based upon the best scientific research available at the time," Peters said. "Because reliable organic products have now been developed, we are introducing an organic option that Calloway's is proud to stand behind. We know our customers count on us to offer products that will be effective, yet will protect our environment." Made of environmentally friendly ingredients, the fertilizer releases nitrogen slowly, and was designed to improve the soil, promote uniform plant growth without burning, provide healthy, rich green color, stimulate strong root development, offer a pleasant smell - unlike other fertilizers - and spread easily as granules. "Unlike some traditional organic fertilizers, New Generation contains food grade meal, but it doesn't include manure," Sam Weger said. "Our product is the effective and responsible choice as it promotes the microbial activity in the soil." Other Calloway's soil amendments include a variety of potting soils, mulches, compost and fertilizers.
