CALLOWAY'S NURSERY ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONS AND PERSONNEL CHANGES FORT WORTH, Texas - Feb. 15, 2001 - Calloway's Nursery of Texas has promoted and transferred several employees in the Irving, McKinney and South Arlington stores, announced company President John Peters. Dean Burton was promoted to store manager of the Irving location at 4033 West Airport Freeway, from assistant manager of the McKinney location at 4050 W. Eldorado Pkwy. Filling the position vacated by Burton, Ricky Nuzzo was promoted to assistant manager in McKinney from store supervisor of the Lewisville location at 423 East FM 3040. "We have promoted both Dean and Ricky based on their successful experience and the skills they will bring to these stores," Peters said. In addition, Whitney Ness was named assistant merchandise manager, working with annual and perennial plants. She was formerly the manager of the South Arlington store at 4940 S. Cooper. Transferring from Irving where he served as store manager, Brian Ness filled her position as store manager of the South Arlington location. "Whitney has always shown an interest in merchandising, and we know she'll be a real asset to that department," Peters said. "Brian's strong experience and expertise will make the South Arlington store even better." Calloway's Nursery, Inc. is a leading specialty retailer of lawn and garden products, with headquarters in Fort Worth. Founded in 1986, Calloway's owns and operates 17 stores in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, as well as a nursery growing division near Tyler.
