Why are the stems on my vincas yellowing?

Why are the stems on my vincas yellowing?? They are in a semi-shaded area planted in groupings.

Any plant intended for full sun will begin to drop some leaves as the plants grow in size and cast shade onto the lower leaves and the plants become more crowded. You can try trimming back your plants a tiny bit on top to allow more light into the body of your plants, which will last only until your plants fill in again.
