STEP 1: SUPPLIES FOR YOUR GIFTS
You will need the following items to complete your hostess gifts:
- Succulents
- Calloway’s Premium Potting Soil
- Small stones or pebbles
- Mini tin buckets
- Chalkboard stickers
- Chalk or Acrylic Paint Pen
- Glitter bows
STEP 2: DECORATE CHALKBOARD STICKERS
Start with your chalkboard stickers. Write a festive message, phrase, or design for your hostess. You can use the chalk provided with the stickers or you can try an acrylic paint pen for something a little more permanent and bolder.
Carefully draw on the stickers. If using paint, allow the paint to dry before applying to the container.
When ready, place your stickers on the tin containers in a center location before you start planting.
STEP 3: PLANT YOUR SUCCULENTS
Now it is time to plant your succulents!
First, add a layer of small stones or pebbles on the bottom of the container. This will help with moisture control. Then, add your Calloway’s Premium Potting Soil, leaving room for your plants.
Next, remove your succulents from their container, one at a time. Gently break up the root ball before planting in the soil.
Add your plants and top with more soil if needed. We love the bright green color and scalloped edges of these succulent varieties.
Once your succulents are planted, you can complete your presents with the finishing touches!
STEP 4: ADD FINAL DECORATIONS
