First, we must prepare the crust! Combine the butter and powdered sugar. Add the flour, crushed lavender, ground almonds, and lemon peel. If you have a nut allergy, substitute the ground almonds with a more suitable replacement.
When the dough is ready, pat into an ungreased 13-inch X 9-inch pan.
Bake the crust at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
Next, while the crust is baking, prepare the delicious lemon filling. Add the eggs, sugar, flour, baking soda, and lemon juice in a large bowl and beat until frothy.
Pour the filling over the hot crust and bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
Allow lemon bars to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Finally, enjoy! Who knew your garden could make such a tasty treat? We sure did!
