They have a great selection and helpful staff. Was looking for a blue flowering trailing plant and the staff to me right to a few different choices. Picked up a few other plants too.+0Posted on Google![]()

While they do have a great selection of plants they do not carry what I was looking for. They're absolutely nice and knowledgeable, they're not just people "work" there. Definitely a nursery for the avg landscape lover!Posted on Google![]()

I had a great experience at Calloway’s Nursery today. I had been searching for plant saucers for my bathroom plants for months and couldn’t find the right sizes anywhere, including Lowe’s and Home Depot. Someone suggested trying a smaller nursery, and I’m so glad I did. Calloway’s had exactly what I needed, and I was able to find all three saucers in the perfect sizes. The store itself is beautiful, with healthy plants and flowers everywhere, and the atmosphere is really pleasant. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the customer service was excellent. I’ve driven past this nursery for years and never stopped in, but now I’ll definitely be coming back for my plant needs.+2Posted on Google![]()

Five stars isn’t really enough for this Calloway’s Nursery location because what makes it special isn’t just the plants - it’s the people and the care you can see everywhere. I first stopped here about three years ago looking for a fruit tree and expected a quick visit. Instead, it turned into one of the most memorable garden center experiences I’ve had. Karl from customer service struck up a conversation that somehow went from computers to the Greek legend of the Gordian Knot… and even to how he once cracked a computer game from 1986. Not exactly what you expect while standing next to fruit trees, but it made the whole visit fun and memorable. Then came the moment that sealed it. While I was considering a fruit tree, Karl casually offered me a piece of fruit to try. I’ve visited a lot of nurseries and that had never happened before. It wasn’t a sales tactic - it was just someone sharing something good. Of course I bought the tree, and ever since that first stop, I’ve kept coming back. The manager deserves real credit for the atmosphere there. She’s friendly, approachable, and clearly sets the tone for the place. One minute you’re talking about plants, the next you’re hearing about her two cats - a tuxedo and a very talkative tabby. It’s relaxed, personal, and it feels genuine. And the plants themselves tell the story. People who truly care about plants leave a signature, and you can see it here. Everything is lined up neatly, watered properly, and clearly looked after. The pots are moist, the leaves are vibrant, and nothing looks neglected. In all seriousness, I can also say this as someone who actually understands plants. I’m a biologist and I studied botany, so I pay attention to soil quality, plant condition, and how nurseries maintain their stock. The difference here is noticeable. The staff take the time to give honest advice before you even buy anything. They’ll explain what will work, what might struggle, and how to care for it so you actually succeed. That kind of honesty and patience is rare and incredibly valuable. More than anything, the team here just feels like good Texas people - friendly, helpful, and proud of what they do. When people genuinely care about their work and the plants they’re responsible for, it shows in everything. I did try another Calloway’s once, but honestly, it wasn’t the same. This location has something special.+1Posted on Google![]()

I've being buying plants at Calloway's for a couple years. I like the Mesquite location! I will NEVER visit the Greenville location ever again. The cashiers were rude and I was very offended. However, the Mesquite location has a great cashier by the name of Zallie (hopefully that's spelled right) she is the sweetest person. She provides great customer service and she is very friendly. Evvey single time I walk in the door she speaks and make customers feel welcome. I appreciate people.like her because good customer service is hard to come by now days. Thank you Zallie! Keep up the good work!
