How to Grow Bermuda Sod

Light: Bermuda Sod requires full sun, with at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. It does not tolerate shade and thrives in open, sunny areas.

Water: Water deeply and regularly during establishment, keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged. Once established, water 1-2 times per week, providing 1 inch of water each time.

Humidity: Adapts to average outdoor humidity. No special humidity requirements are needed for this drought-tolerant grass.

Temperature: It thrives in warm temperatures between 75-95°F (24 and 35°C). Hardy in USDA zones 7-10, it goes dormant in cooler temperatures but recovers in spring.

Fertilizer: Feed with a nitrogen-rich lawn fertilizer (e.g., 16-4-8) every 6-8 weeks during the growing season (spring to early fall). Follow soil test recommendations for best results.

Pests and Diseases: It is susceptible to armyworms, grubs, and fungal diseases like dollar spot. To prevent these, treat pests with appropriate insecticides and ensure good lawn maintenance.
