Stock is prized for its colorful, perfume-scented blooms. Their double flowers extend upward on spikes above the foliage. These attributes make it a popular choice as a cool season annual. The flowers are excellent for cutting and including in arrangements for their outstanding look.
An herbaceous annual with an upright growth and medium texture blends well into gardens. A good choice for attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Great as an accent plant, or in mass plantings, borders, and containers.
Stock grows best during the cooler months and prefers loose, well-drained soil. The upright habit will allow Stock to grow from 12-18 inches tall. This can be planted in a flowerbed or containers with partial shade to full sun. Additional flowers can bloom if Stock is trimmed back after flowers are spent.
