Calloway’s Nursery in McKinney opened March 2, 2000.  They offer premium plants and garden goods, expert Texas garden advice and an easy shopping experience. A stroll amid this garden center takes you back to Colonial Times as you are surrounded by Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello home.

In 2010, 2012 and 2013 Star Community Readers voted McKinney as Best Landscaping and Garden Center.

 

Jenny, Store Manager and Texas Master Certified Nursery Professional

Store Manager Jenny Begnaud received her Bachelor's in Horticulture from Texas A&M. She enjoys golf, hunting/camping, shoes, fantasy football and her nieces.  

 

Debee, Assistant Manager and Texas Certified Nursery Professional

Assistant Manager Debee Puppe enjoys antiquing and traveling.  She brings a creative eye to her work at Calloway’s. Her friendly high-energy personality makes her an approachable plant expert.

The McKinney garden center had 14 entries in the 2012 Calloway's Nursery Tomato Contest on Saturday, June 30.

The winners for 2012 were:

Best Quality Tomatoes ( 10 entries)
1st place: Becky Montgomery, Variety: Cherokee Purple
2nd place: Doug Montgomery, Variety: yellow variety

Largest Tomato ( 4 entries)
1st place: Becky Montgomery, Variety: Brandywine
2nd place: Doug Montgomery, Variety: Brandywine

 

The McKinney location had 3 entries in the Best Quality Tomatoes category and 2 entries in the Largest Tomato category in its Tomato Contest on Saturday, June 25, 2011.
