2013 Swap in Plano

When is the 2013 Plano Spring swap????

Pink and Yellow Pride of Barbados

I will have a couple of each color started and ready to trade. Not looking for anything specific, but I have a taste for the tropical and showy -- also have a deep passion for hibiscus of all varieties.

When is the Spring Swap for 2013?

Any swaps in the Richardson or Garland areas?

I have lots of aloe vera plants and yellow iris bulbs. I also have some indoor plants to swap as well. I have a lot of seeds for basil and cilantro from my garden last year.

Looking for some good ideas for shade bedding plants to add in as a filler for summer color.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Cheryl

Shade

I'm ready for the swap, too! I have had good luck with leather leaf fern, oak leaf hydrangea and oxalis in the shade. My hostas tend to get eaten by slugs.
I will have purple iris, daylilies and some random plants to share.

Robin

swap

Only have one perennial to swap. It is oxalis. Low growing, clover leaf with pink flowers. I do have seeds from the Moon Flower. Would like red cannas or any pernnial.

Sorry I Missed You

I tried to find everyone that wanted some of my plants, but I never saw Laura, Dinah, or Anonymous. I had a clearance give away at 11:00 your plants went to anyone that was interested. Maybe next time.

New Comer

My name is Matt and this will be my first time at the swap so I'm super excited. My patio garden is still too young for me to bring any swap samples of my own but my close gardening buddy is fronting me some of her BEAUTIFUL aloe plants to bring to the swap. I can't say I know exactly what I will be looking to swap for but I do love a good native Texas Plant and anything else with bright brilliant flowers that can withstand the heat and maybe a little lazy watering. Thanks. Hope to see yall all there :D

Calling Judy C. who was at the last fall swap

Judy,
Mary thought that you had called her to see if we (Mary, Jane, * Judy B.) were coming to this spring swap. You remembered that we had daylilies. We will have daylilies again. Hope to see you there. You can't miss Mary--she will have her rolling walker with her.
Jane

varigated vinca to trade for "wishful thinking" or maybe not!

I am new at gardening and all I have to trade is Variegated Vinca - excellent form of ground cover, offering support and moisture for flowerbeds as well as adding stability for the surrounding soil. low-growing evergreen vine, rarely topping 12 inches in height but spreading out much wider. This ground cover also has a long blooming season, lasting from early spring into the late fall, allowing for multiple blooming periods.

wanted onion chives

Hi Tina, I would like to have some of your onion chives if you have any left. I have hostas, oregano, horseradish, 1 mum, 1 crossvine, left if you would be interested in any of these. Thanks. Pushpa

Speedwell plant

Tina,
I know you're looking for the Speedwell plant. If you talk to Margretha, she has one that may be a slightly lighter color than the one you're asking for, but still, it's a blue Speedwell. See her post near the end of this page. I just want to help...
~Gen

Martha Gonzales rose, and zexmenia

i have ox-eye daisy and butterfly weed for your rose and zexmenia. My name is Wilson. I will be wearing a red shirt with black stripe.

Hi Wilson, I'll gladly trade

Hi Wilson,

I'll gladly trade you for the oxe-eye daisy and milkweed! I will put your name on the rose and zexmenia and look for you tomorrow. I could use several of the daisies, if you have them, and I will have more than one start of the zex. if you need it. Thanks!

-Tina

White trellis

Tina,
That trellis sounds beautiful! Unfortunately I don't have specifically what you're asking for. But please take a look at mine, and let me know if you might be interested in what I have.

Prickly Pear Cactus - whole plants with roots, dug up from a neighbor looking to be rid of them.
Mimosa Strigillosa (5-10 of these, just as many as I can dig up.)
Pink/Lavender Allium - again as many as I can bring 5-10 maybe more. (In the Wild onion family, but don't smell or taste like onion. When the buds are closed, they look EXACTLY like wild green onions though!)
I'm also going to look around my garden tonight and make my very final listing once I'm done.
~Gen

allium/trellis

Hi Gen,

By any chance, is your allium 'Society Garlic'? I forgot to put that in my list of what I'm needing. But, I am only looking for that specific one.

If I don't end up making a swap for my trellis, I'd be more than happy to give it to you. I just want it to get a new home in somebody's garden.

Tina

Allium breed

Tina,
I'm not exactly sure of this guy's specific genus. But it looks exactly like the photos on the internet I'm finding for the "society Garlic". So I'll put some aside for you just in case. You can take a look/smell and see if they're what you want. (These are all growing wild on this new property, so I have no idea what's what yet!) ~Gen

Deborah

Pushpa--Calla Lilies

Pushpa,
Do you still have any Calla Lilies to swap. I have several plants I'm still looking for good homes to go to. Let me know & let's see if we can swap.
Jane

calla lilies for oxblood lilies

Hi Jane. I can dig up a couple. Do you still have the oxblood lilies? If so I would like those. Thanks. Pushpa

Trade for calla lilies

I can certainly go out & dig some. When you get the oxblood lilies then plant them & let the foliage die. The bulbs may or may not bloom with flowers this fall but the foliage will certainly come up proving that the bulb is alive & well--just cranky from getting moved out of season. I do hope that they bloom for you.
Jane

Thanks Jane.

Hi have the calla lilies for you with your name on them.

OMG! I'm blown away!

I posted earlier what I have but didn't get any response. I'll be pulling a little vintage wood wagon on Saturday and my name is Sheri. Look for me and I'd love to trade for something I don't already have!!!

Iris bulbs to swap

I have 20-25 Iris bulbs in pots that I would like to swap for any other flowering plant.
