Echeveria is a clumping succulent known for its varied leaf size, shape, and color, as well as its occasional bloom spike.

Echeveria is a succulent with a clumping growth habit. This is a very low maintenance plant. It has no significant negative characteristics. Echeveria is recommended for bright windows or tables and can tolerate direct sunlight.

Echeveria grows to about 6-8 inches tall and clumps up to about 12 inches wide. It grows at a moderate rate in a clumping form of many smaller offset plants that form a mounding clump. This shrub should be grown in full sunlight, but benefits from afternoon shading. It does require minimal moisture, but as a Cactus can withstand being dry. It will not tolerate any standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH as long as it drains completely. This is a selected variety of a species not originally from North America. Echeveria is a fine choice for mixed containers in brughtly sunlit areas. The low, rosette plant shape, foliage color, and occasional flower lends interest.
