DIY

Paint your terra cotta pot. We covered ours in a few coats of white spray paint, and then we painted the top with rose gold metallic paint to add an extra touch of style and dimension.

Let the rose gold paint dry before adding an additional coat to make the color nice and bold.

STEP 3: PLANT

Add fantastic plant selections. We kept to a green, foliage-based color scheme and design. The green really compliments the whites and pinks of our decoration and paint choices.

When selecting our plants, we planned ahead as far as when and where we would display our planter. Perfect for Easter, we wanted a great option for the outdoors. Everyone will be able to enjoy the added touch during their hunt for Easter eggs! For our planter, we selected Sweet Potato Vines. They are full of attractive heart-shaped leaves that remain lime green in color throughout the season.

You can use indoor plants and foliage, like small ferns, large succulents, or you can incorporate white blooms, and mix it up with the traditional “Thriller, Filler, Spiller” technique.

Be sure to water your plants in, as necessary per your plant selections, before adding the decorations.

STEP 4: DECORATE

crafting with plants

Once all is planted, add your bunny decorations! Place the bunny ears with the pink side facing away from the “back” of the planter, where the tail will be.

Glue on the fluffy tail and step back to admire your design! Make multiple and line them side-by-side, with the bunny tail as the front, for an extra cute display.
