Boosting Property Value & Curb Appeal with Landscaping

Quality landscaping benefits more than just outdoor aesthetics, there are many transformative advantages of strategic landscaping. The long-term financial gains are remarkable. As your plants grow and establish over time, landscaping can add thousands of dollars to your property value.

Grass, trees, shrubs, and flowers are the top elements that add the most value to your home. A well-kept lawn is extremely important, but shrubs and established trees are essential for improved livability. They add energy efficiency while also making an environmental impact. Trees and shrubs help prevent soil erosion, shield your home from wind and harsh sunlight, and even regulate moisture levels around your foundation—reducing the risk of movement in shifting soil. Create a sustainable design and plant seasonal blooms for a pop of fresh color that everyone will love. Plus, they invite beneficial pollinators to your landscape.

In March of 2018, Dawn started as one of the very first designers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She’s helped our design team grow while creating impressive landscapes for over 500 clients, and some have even returned for a second or third phase in their project!

chad

Chad has been a professional landscape designer for 15 years and in January, he will be celebrating his 8th year at Calloway’s! His love for gardening began when he mowed lawns as a kid. In high school, his parents hired a landscape company to revamp their front garden, and it changed his life forever! Seeing the final product come to life from a simple set of blueprints and the overall transformation inspired him to learn more and earn his degree in Landscape Architecture, making him the first in his family to graduate from college! His passion and excitement for his work are prevalent in each project, from start to finish.

Comprehensive Overview Landscape Design & Installation

Ready to unleash the potential of your Texas garden? Here is a step-by-step guide to understanding the process of Landscape Design & Installation.

STEP ONE:

Book your landscape design online at Calloways.com. One of our professional designers will schedule a home visit to discuss the goals for your landscape. From the time the project is started, we aim to always maintain easy communication between you, the designer, and the project manager.

meeting with landscaper

During the consultation, the designer will measure the planting area, take photos, and discuss how you would like to move forward.

  • How do you use your space or wish to use the space or what would like you to do differently?
  • What look or theme do you want for your landscape?
  • Do you have any color or plant preferences?

We want to provide you with the ideal design to meet all your gardening goals. For our designers to get started on planning out your new and improved landscape, the design fee is due upon your first consultation visit. The design fee covers the design work only, and a project proposal will be provided to outline costs for plant material and installation once the design is complete.

STEP TWO:

After the consultation, we will work with you and create a custom digital plan and personalized installation proposal for your landscape.

The designer will create renderings for you that outline plant selections and placement to give you an accurate idea of what to expect.

They will set up a time that works best for you to present a completed, full-color digital plan. They will go over any necessary changes and discuss the installation proposal with you.

STEP THREE:

Once your design is finalized, the designer will discuss the schedule and timeline for the installation. They will also check in with updates while we finalize details, order plants, gather supplies, and verify safety needs – including scheduling the dig test for gas and power lines in the planting area.

Our designer and landscaping partner will arrive to complete the installation of your new landscape design. Our landscape partners are hand-picked for their quality, work, and professionalism. All are insured so you can have peace of mind that they will get the job done right!

laying mulch

They will prep the soil, remove or transplant items, install plants, lay mulch, and water them in. Once completed, the designer will gather the remaining items needed from you to finish and close out the project.

Depending on the project and our Texas weather, some installations are completed in phases. We are as flexible as we can be with Mother Nature but always aim to plant at the ideal time for a thriving landscape. Our team will communicate with you and all decisions about the weather regarding your installation will be made together.

Make 2026 a year to remember and enjoy time outdoors with family and friends in your newly designed landscape!
